Tarzan

Every day is an adventure with this boy. Yesterday Eric and I were in the kitchen. We look over at Logan. He turned the laundry basket upside down and got up on top of it and started waving his arms around. HE thought he was Tarzan. Eric jumps over the gate to the living room to get Logan off of the basket. And I ask....Who teaches him these things?

He now has 4 bottom teeth. The 2 side ones on the bottom popped through the skin this past weekend at some point. lol

Recently our nephew Emilio came home from boot camp. He is an official Marine. So we met up with him a couple times for celebration before he went back to California for more training. It was sweet how many total strangers would approach him and thank him for his service. That was different.

We recently picked up some Blue sand for Logans soon to be sandbox. He loves sand and well anything that gets him dirty. So we got some blue sand to make it fun. I am just picky and have not found the one thing I want to put it in.....soon.

Things have not really settled in the Eric department. As he has been applying for jobs all over. It is appearing that we will be moving someplace else. So keep your fingers crossed that something local comes up or we are out of here. His last day at MSP is June 3rd. They actually threw him and Joelle(other intern)a graduation party. So that was really nice.

We spent last weekend tilling the future garden. We planted some fruit plants. And we burned as it was so HOT out while doing yard work. Marcus came over and helped Eric and I. And Alex came over and sat in the living room with Logan. Too hot to take him outside.

Oh and Eric learned quickly not to swear in front of Logan as he now repeats everything bad we say. UGH...too soon. And we were able to find Logan some Nike sandals that actually fit his chubby little feet. Finally. And then we have had nothing but rain and cold days ever since. haha But when he needs them, he will have them.

This past week has been very rainy and yucky out. We are due for some nice weather. Well that is all for now. Catch up later.

Graduation/Mothers Day

Saturday Eric Graduated from MSU. It feels like its been forever. And finally the day has come. Everyone was so proud of him. He is super smart. I didnt doubt for a second he would make it. Its just so WOW...he made it. haha

The people that came were our parents, my sister, his brother and Sarah, Aunt Sokie, Shelby, Phil, Uncle Danny, and Aunt Frances.

We went out to dinner after at Champps to celebrate. I could tell Eric was so releived it was finally over. And Bob and Kim and Aiden Kersten met us there as well. It was a beautiful day too.

Logan wore his matching cap and Gown. And during the ceremony he really was well behaved when he wasnt pulling braids our of a head of someone in front of us, grabbing an old ladies cane, kicking someone in the head, and grabbing a hand full of hair. But I swear he was good. haha He waved and clapped and danced to the fight song. It was a good day.

Mothers Day,

Since we spent Saturday with out family, we decided to do nothing together the next day. We woke up a little later than normal. We took our sweet time getting around. We headed to St. Johns and Eric and Logan and I picked all the veggies and flowers for our Garden. We made our way over to Walmart and then headed back to Ovid.

I stopped in to see my Grandmother...The original Momma. And then went home and Eric and Logan took a nap. We picked up Michelle and took her to grab some lunch. Eric and I ate dessert. Is this a weekly thing now? haha

And later that night an impromptu cookout with my bro his fam and some more fam. So that was a nice surprise as we were starting to get hungry.

But it was so nice not to plan something. haha I know I love to plan. But just once I wanted to do nothing. FYI...I am over it.

On to the next event....

Quiet Dinner

Lately Eric and I have been pretty excited about this new thing Logan has done. SLEEP while we eat dinner. Oh man it has been 16 months that we have not been able to have dinner without worrying about little Logan. The last few nights, he has taken late naps that tapper off while we are just finishing dinner. Its been pretty nice. Dont get me wrong, love love love taking care of Logan. But a dinner without him grabbing our plate or grabbing our glasses is so so so nice.

Not Afraid

So Logan naturally is growing. However he is seriously fearless in his growing. He now stands on things and jumps or taps his feet while standing on a stool. He doesnt care, he is not afraid he just goes. I dont know how to stop him because I dont want to make him a big chicken. But good lord, he is not afraid of anything. He is pretty funny though.

We put a full laundry basket next to our TV stand so he cant get in to the DVD storage. Well what does he do, he tries to drag the basket. But it was too heavy to keep dragging so he goes around to the other side and lifts it up and dumps everything out so he could move it. LITTLE PUNK!

Lets see, the other day he was finishing up eating. And my Grandma said "Logan are you all done?" And clear as day he said "all done". Woah baby.

And sad news for me...he now kisses with his mouth closed. There goes one more baby feature.

And when I say where Mommy's nose, he picks it. Wheres Logans nose, he picks it. Where is any ones nose...he will pick it. And I laugh hysterically so he will continue to do this forever! lol

He likes spicy food. I gave him some salsa this weekend, and he loved it. He is not afraid to try anything. And I think he like rich tasting foods. So thats good. He ate these spicy fajita spring rolls and basically swallowed them. He loves them. Eric said its my fault because I ate everything spicy while pregnant. I guess its true!

He now walks along the floor pushing his play yard, as he demonstrated this weekend. He was like um...I am going to move this thing if you keep me in it. So we are going to have our hands full this summer.

Well I could go on and on, but I wont. He is always doing something new. Always doing something exciting. We love it! But now I have to watch my little daredevil closely as he is not afraid of anything. Not even Eric or I! lol

Easter

So lets see....Friday night we went out for our annual Mega 80's birthday party for Michelle and Julie. And Mom came over and babysat Logan. We did not stay out late, as we rode home with Jesse and Jodi. But we all had a great time. Well after they started playing. LOL.

Saturday we got up and lazed around as I was completely out of it from the night before. I am so lame. Anyway, around 11 I made a veggie burger because breakfast is my least fave thing unless we are at Cracker Barell. Anyway...I gave Logan some and he loved it. He said "mmmmmm" and then kept opening his mouth. So he ate about a quarter of it. Future meal for sure.

We took Michelle out for dessrt as it was her actual birthday. She had to work that day so there went anything else we could have done.

We saw the boys (Alex, Marcus, and Lou) playing basketball with my brother at the church on the corner of Grandmas house. So we stopped and Eric and Logan played for a bit. Logan loves it outside. What kid doesnt.

And then we headed over to Grandmas to get the plastic eggs filled with candy for the kids the next day.

Then we went home and chilled out. Jodi came over and watched movies until about 12:30am. All the while I was fighting my sleep.

Easter Sunday, we got up and got Logan Ready. He was suppose to wear black shorts with these Knee high argyle socks. But unfortunately it was way too cold for this. So we put on jeans. But before that, I snapped a shot of him getting ready. He loved helping me comb his hair. What a great baby!!!!

We ran to Walmart to get him some black and white tennis shoes. However I got them too big. So really he ended up with none. But we headed on over to Cheddars in Lansing. We met up with Erics whole family. And we all sat in booths around the back. Which was nice since Logan and Julian needed a play area. haha Food was good. Logan got spoiled by everyone. Let me give a rough Talley of his gifts:

1 Large bag of Candy
8 Outfits
3 Bubbles
Golf Clubs
Nike Shox Tennis Shoes
2 Trucks
Sand Castle set
2 Juice Boxes
4 Bags of Crackers
4 Books
Many Eggs
2 Boxes of Sidewalk Chalk
1 bottle Color Bubbles
1 Light Spike Ball
2 Toothbrush
1 Hooded Towel
1 Box Goldfish
1 set of Bunny ears
4 baskets
And plenty of other things that I can not remember. Our house was loaded with gifts. He is so loved. And he had a great time on the hunt.

He would pick up an egg shake it and throw it or put it back in its hiding spot. 2 made it in his duck basket. And then he played like crazy with the kids outside. It turned out to be a great day.

15 Months & Counting

So Logan has his 15 month Checkup today with Dr. Josh. Here are his stats!

32" tall = 86th Percentile(No clue how many babies they are comparing him to)
23 Pounds 8oz. = 44th Percentile. Yeah my kid needs to gain some weight. Weirder things have happened.
46.8 Head...What in the hell does that mean? I have no clue what that number is but he is in teh 47th percentile.

Logan is always a blast in the Doc office. He tears up the paper on the table. He throws the chair across the room. He is a regular rock star.

He was knocking on the door and saying hello when Dr. Josh came in. And like always he had to tell me how beautiful Logans skin tone is. This time he said kids everywhere would die for that. HUH??? Kids dont think about skin tone! haha But it was cute.

He is super healthy. He was pleased with his progress as far as developmentally. He just wants to make sure he gaines some weight here after being sick for a couple weeks.

We got him ready and off I went to school, and my Dad and sister took him to Sharens.

Today is their Easter party. I baked personalized cookies for the kids, plus got them some little trinkets. Its not Christmas.

YOU!

So last night as I was playing with Logan I point to him and say "YOU" and he did it back to me. He kept pointing at me saying "YOU". It was pretty cute. Then he would lightly hit his head on Eric and say "Ouch" and he would keep doing this. He is so silly these days.

During his time of being sick we sort of allowed him to use his bottle all the time. So now I am going to take it away from him again. I have to get him back on schedule. He is too old to be lugging around a bottle.

Saturday the 16th we went to my cousins wedding reception. And Logan the music love her is was obsessed with dancing. He was on the floor and dancing as long as we let him. We left early because I thought the band was too loud for his baby ears. But he had a great time.

Everyone keeps saying he takes after me. JOY!
