and then there is more....

So where have I been the last few months....God who knows. This year Logan was Dumbo. This was cousin Haydens costume passed down. I couldnt resist Logan wearing it as he looks so freaking cute. So Dumbo it was. Keep in mind Logan has no clue who Dumbo is. Every year I want to make cards for Halloween with my baby in his costume, so the follow up is this....

Can you believe how much he has grown. Lets compare to last year....

Dont you want to just squeeze his cheeks! So I was taking his Halloween pic one day, and he stands up and says "Cheese Ok", and walks away. And trust me I tried to take 100 pictures to get the right one. He was over it. It was like he was saying, either you got that first one or you didnt. Eric was like leave him alone. I was very persistant and kept making him pose. I kept most of the duds because I thought they were funny. But he was so over it.

The week of Halloween Logan went back to Sharens for a week. Eric had knee surgery the previous week. And well it turned in to more than we expected. So to make everyones lives easier we called Sharen. She gladly took him for the week. And of course when I picked him up that very day she had given him a goody bag filled with Halloween stuff/snacks/games. She is so good to my baby. We sure missed her. But he was so pooped out from the play that by the time Trick or Treating started, he was zonked out. So Logan slept next to Eric in the garage in his stroller. Logans Grandma Starn brought some cupcakes. Me and Michelle brought some treats and cider to pass out on Logans behalf. and it was quite cold actually. He woke up towards the end but he was grumpy. He quickly got over it when his Grandma pushed him on the swing.

Excuse Me!

So Logan is so amazing in our eyes as you all know. And every day he literally is doing things out of nowhere. Last night was pretty hysterical. We were sitting on the couch after I got home from work. Logan farts and says "excuse me". And proceeds to say excuse me a millions times over. I about lost it. I thought it was so funny. And Monday (10/10/11) we were laying down in bed, and we were watching Mickey. And I said Okay Logan no more Mickey, and he says "why". OMG.. What? Who are you? haha

We are still having our daily battles with him climbing and flying from every piece of furniture we own. But last weekend we bought an item that was a major victory for us....for at least one week. I purchased an extra tall baby gate that has a door, so we no longer have to climb. This thing is amazing, and Little Logan can not climb it. But it sure is not for a lack of trying.

Also, our breakfast counter...its finally happened. He is too tall to just walk under it. I wondered when the day would come. But he bonked his head on the corner of it. All I can say is SLOW DOWN on the growth buddy. Eric measures him periodially and I would say in the last 2 months has grown like 2-3 inches. I mean come on. How do we keep up with that.

I felt around in his mouth last night, and he has about 6 teeth that are just poking through. This explains a lot.

Logan is a lover of pizza. He likes sausage on his pizza...is so so with pepporoni. He now says "Yummy" instead of his standbye "mmmmm" He says Bubble Guppies...."Bug uppie" Sometimes "ummm Buggie". I think ummm...is I want. Or something like that. We totally have to get on camera him doing his "outside" dance. OMG...what a dork. But we love it. He totally can count. And he thinks he can sing the alphabet song. He can not. But knows when to say random letters. So its a start. When we point to a train he says "choo choo..chug a chuga" I made the mistake of doing the sounds instead of saying what it was when practicing his flash card book.

And great news....we are on week number 2 of no bottle! However Logan has found a way for us to have to yell at him. As he takes a drink of his sippy and lets it dribble down his face on purpose mind you.

And Potty....Logan knows it is called potty, and he wants to use it. So I believe it is time to start with training. We shall see how this works out. As neither one of us wants to do it.

All in all life is pretty crazy hectic with an active little boy. But we love it!!!!!!

Logan does....

At this point Logan says the following:
Okay
Hi
Bye
Logan
Mom
Dad
Papa
muah
goggy
bubble Guppies (buggle buppies)
Now
No
You okay? (new one)
Eric
nugget
Look at
Shell
Well pretty much the same names as always
And many more.

He recently has taken to singing. He sings the closing song to backyardigans. Its quite sweet.

Yesterday him and I were pretending to cry and he patted my back and said "its okay". I about died laughing.

He still throws food and cups when he is finished or doesnt like things. He is quite funny. He is beyond adventurous. And he keeps us on our toes. He loves to play with his little cousins. And he loves to dance. He can fit in his 12mos tops and wears some 18 months. He has the waist of a 12 month old but hte length of an 18 month old. So pants have been tricky. He can wear 6.5size shoes.

His fave shows are:

Bubble Guppies. And Eric adn I love it too
Backyardigans
Olivia
Go Diego
Phineas and Ferb.

And for some reason he loves the Abilify commercial. Its for depression medicine I think. But its a cartoon and it keeps his attention like no other....very funny.

He still listens to any gummybear song. And he still loves Lady Gaga.

He loves
Cheeseburgers
nuggets
grilled cheese
alfredo
speghetti
blueberries
strawberries
bananas
Green Beans

His mom and his dad!

First sentence

Logan woke up Saturday 6/18/11 and said his first complete sentence. He said "Shell, where are you". Eric and I could not stop laughing. He always calls his Aunt Michelle "Shell". Its really cute. So that was what he came up with that day.

I have more to write about that day later, but here is a photo of him and his cousin Colin playing in water at cousin Jacob's open house. Logan thinks he can swim in anything. Poor Colin

The past few days...

So Monday was Logans 1st day home with his Dad. However, they were not alone. Selicia, Adrianna and Alex came over in the afternoon and pooped him out. So he had a good time. eric....not so much.

Tuesday was the funeral for my moms Uncle Henry (Aunt Angie's husband). So I went tot he funeral without Eric and Logan. On our way to the luncheon I got Eric and Logan to go with me. And of course Logan was wild and didnt want to sit still. So every one would come up and take him for a short walk or whatever. He seemed to enjoy this.

So today is the first day that Eric and Logan are on their own...or so I think. I will be signing Logan up for the Summer Reading Program at the library. That is if Eric is okay with taking him there. We shall see.

Logan does:
He copies everything we have to say And likes to say "woah" a lot
He climbs on everything that can be climbed.
He throws everything he plays with in to the kitchen (it is gated off)
He still sort of drinks his bottle. But he does often drink out of his straw cup
Loves Bath time still
Loves to put everything in his mouth Still!
He has taken to watching cartoons a little more. We need to stop that real quick.
He wears 12 months-18 month clothes.
Size 5.5-6 shoes
size 4 diapers
I am sure there are some more memorable markers I would like to list here. But for now, this will do!

Last day...

So today is Logan's last day at daycare with Sharen. Its a huge bummer. We love Sharen as I have said before. Last night we went out and got her a really pretty plant and a thank you card. She has had Logan since he was a little nugget. And she seems pretty upset also.

She told me this morning she is going to miss him so much. She said he is one of her favorites. We will see how this plays out. If Eric can get a job here shortly we can send him back. And Sharen has mentioned to me more times than I can count how she is holding a spot for him as long as she can. So that is really nice.

I have a feeling he will be going back sooner than later. So we are hopeful!

In the mean time, Eric gets to hang with our little monster and keep him busy. This should be interesting.

Stay tuned.....
