Believe it or not, I started typing November as my title for todays blog. Why am I holding on to that month. Good lord.
Anyway....I have been having contractions off and on since about Sunday. Dr. Kelley had told me that this is normal. And she said I will have this until he comes. I just chug on water, and lay on my side. And eventually they go away. Its when they dont that it matters. So Eric has been keeping an eye on me.
They are making my belly get tight, as if I am flexing my use to be abdominal area. And they hurt, but not enough to make me get all nuts. I just breathe through it and eventually it passes. Plus it helps with Eric rubbing my belly or back for me. We have to go and pick up one of those hand held massagers for when I actually go in to labor. Because his hands get tired too fast. And I need it.
After some hiccups along our journey we have our baby Logan....Join us on our sometimes monthly sometimes daily submissions of life with this awesome little man.

Okay I am going to try real hard to write 2010. I keep messing up!!!!! GRRRR>...
So today we had our NST/Ultrasound/Office Visit. I invited Erics mom to come see the little guy on the big screen. So Eric and I went back to get me hooked up to the monitors. Everything was all good. His heart rate went up to like 191 and it freaked me out. But she said it was fine.
Then we had our ultrasound. My Aunt Frances went back with Eric and I and Rosemary. And we were able to see him breathing. His little belly was going up and down. It was so cute. All looked good. She said my amniotic fluid was perfect. And I guess that is all they look for now at this point. At 36 weeks I believe I will get another growth ultrasound. And of course I am sure my entourage was excited to be able to see Logan on screen. However, he was quite tame by the time we had our ultrasound. He was moving around like crazy prior to that. But he did have his foot on his forehead. Good lord that kid is limber. It was cute.
I met with Dr. Kelley today. She was pleased with how far we have come. She thinks the baby looks great. And of course she said if we can make it to week 35 she would have no worries. I wanted to slap her. She changes the week every week of when she will feel better. I just felt like saying keep it to yourself.
She then asked me how I was doing on my diet. I said what diet? She said for you sugar. I said oh I eat what I want when I want. haha She just laughed. She thought my sugars looked a little higher than she likes in the morning, but that in the day and night they look good. So I told her I would try to monitor what I do. She said that was good. Plus I had lost 4 pounds that I packed on over the holidays. Dont ask me where it went. My feet are getting harder and harder to see. hahaha
Then Aunt Frances and I made our way to Com Arts. My work needed me to come in to sign a few papers to get some students processed for graduation. and it was the perfect opportunity to see some people. I met a new coworker. And I was able to see some of my fave people. We chatted it up a bit. And we talked about my upcoming shower that is to be held next week. My friend Kim is throwing me a noon hour bash. I cant wait. My first shower. Plus I miss everyone at work.
Then we made our way to Michaels to get some supplies. I am making one of the invitations to my showers. And it was a perfect opportunity to use my cricut for the first time.
When we got home we opened up my cricut and got started right away. The monkeys are so cute. I hope it all turns out. By the end, my mom, Dad, and michelle were all helping me cut out little animals. hahah

Okay this should be short and sweet. I am just shy of 33 weeks. And Logan needs more time that is for sure. But I am getting to the point where I am just tired of being tired, and sore, and pregnant. My stomach is at an all time roundness. Which is great and uncomfortable all at the same time.
I woke up feeling good so we made our way to the cafe in St. Johns for breakfast. It just sounded nice to get out. Then we rented movies, and made our way to our house. There Eric and I and Michelle and Sue cleaned out my kitchen cabinets. Well I sat on the couch. Michelle picked up things and I told her what to toss and what to keep. We made huge progress.
Finally we got home. Eric brought Logans Car seat home. We needed to get the car seat cover set up. And I want everything in place for his big debut. It was so cute watching Eric put stuff together. I just cant wait for more. He was so proud when he was done. He is going to be a great dad.
Then him and I laid in bed and watched Julie and Julia. And it was so good. We then had a snack. Then Michelle joined us and we watched another movie.
By the end of the night I was exhausted and sore...and whiny. And it was obvious because I woke up to go pee only 2 times. BIG BABY...pushes on my bladder, I usually make 4-6 pit stops in a night. haha
Oh and I have been reading my what to expect in the first year book that Melissa got for me. So much info......

New Years Eve
Today Eric and I made our way to my Non Stress Test. Everything appeared to be just what they wanted to see. So this apt was short lived. Which is just how we like it. And I got a little excited for the lady next to me. As she got the news that she was going to be induced in a few days. How fun!!!!
Then Eric and I made our way to Panera. I was feeling well so we thought why not? There we had sandwiches and shared some creamy oooy gooey good mac and cheese. haha On our way home, we thought why not swing in to Erics parents place for a short visit. We called and found out that they were at IHOP in Dewitt. So we made our way over there.
We sat with them while they ate brunch. We were able to catch up. And it was nice to get outside for a change. Everyone seems to be doing well. And of course we are all excited for Logan to get here when he is ready.
So Eric and I headed home to prepare some treats for New Years Eve. The whole New Years things is just odd to me. Especially now that I cant leave. Its like this major build up and no climax. But we made the most of what we had. And Rick and Julie, Ray and Stef, mom, Dad, Michelle, Phill were all there to hang out. So that was nice. At Midnight we drank our bubbly. I had St. Julian White Grape. and it was super good. But of course it gave me killer heart burn. And Eric kissed my tummy and then kissed me. He then told me that Logan now comes first. Which I thought was so cute. Things like that make me want to cry. In a good way of course.
Then things got a little more exciting....we played games and laughed and ate snacks. All in all we had a good time. better ones to come next year for sure!!!!

King Julians Birthday
Today is Julians Birthday. I call him King Julian because our little cousin Rudy calls him this. It is the name of one of the characters in Madagascar. And I think it is super cute when he says it. And he has the attitude to go with the title to be honest. He is the boss so far. Soon he will have some competition. Especially is Logan is going to have his moms attitude.
So I had an Echo cardiogram scheduled with Dr. Gobal from U of M. The echo was for Logan not me. Apparently when you have Lupus, you can sometimes develop a heart condition in the baby. Yes...something else. Well Michelle, Julian and Dad went with me to this apt. It was at the Sparrow Professional Building/Dr. Roths office. Apparently Dr. Gobal only comes in when requested. So baby Logan is special.
I was really impressed with her right away. She was super nice. And of course she just seemed smart as hell. We talked for about 20 minute prior to the test. Then her and the tech did the ultrasound on the baby. She made comments the entire time like "perfect", "beautiful baby", "excellent" etc... All terms I like to hear. In the end, she said she sees no cause for concern. Everything appeared to be in place. She said normally they do this exam at about 20 weeks. However with the ribs in the way its a little harder to get clear pictures. But what she saw, did not alarm her at all. And she thinks he looks great. And she sees no need to order a follow up echo after he is born.
So off we went to lunch at Bob Evans. We were waited on by Aunt Caroline. We ran in to Karen Cramball. I had not seen her in months. So it was nice to chat for a few. They gave Julian balloon. And that of course kept him busy most of lunch.
Stefanie had been sick for a few days, so celebrating was off the plate for his bday. To be scheduled for a later date. He gets spoiled all the time anyway....so he for sure is not going without. So in the mean time...Happy 1st Birthday King Julian!
