Baptism

Sunday May 23, was Logans Baptism. It was a super HOT day. But it was a nice day. And everyone came out to celebrate with us. We had a wonderful turn out. The following are those that attended:

We had Aunt Lucy cater a small lunch. It was really good. we served mostacholi, bbq meatballs, a salad (rosemary made) rolls. And of course Rosemary made an awesome cake and cupcakes.

Logan received some very nice gifts frome some people. And he started off with his super adorable white suit. However it was super hot so Eric and I prepared and we brought him a short/bib set from Macys. Eric and him both got their outfits for the day there. I thought that was cute.

He was such a good boy. And Logan loves bath time with a passion. So when he got the water poured over his head he got super happy. I bet he would have jumped in if I let him. It was cute and everyone laughed.

All in all it was a good day. And he was of course passed around the entire time.

So lets see...Saturday we had a lot of running around to do. So we dropped Logan off to Erics moms job. They were having a yard sale type event to raise money for her prayer group I believe. So I had to hand him over to all of these women, I dont really know. This is a big deal for me. I like to know who is with Logan. And I like to be on top of who he is exposed to. I just dont want him overwhelmed with people he does not know. But for the most part I did recognize a couple ladies. So it was okay. Eric, me and Michelle went off to grab some lunch. We headed over to Noodles and Company. There we had the obvious....noodles. haha It was super good. And then we ran over to Eastwood to watch Iron Man 2. Oh man it was a good movie. So much better than part one. We did shop a little. And then back to pick up Logan.

He was of course well cared for. And then some stranger was holding him feeding him. But at least Rosemary knew who she was. lol

We then headed back to Ovid. There was a birthday party for Uncle Danny and Aunt Frances. So immediately we were with a new group of people. And of course as you all know, nobody lets me hold Logan. He was passed around again. My child will definitely not have a problem with social interactions. haha And we hung out there until well in to the night.

Sunday....Eric had joined a softball league with Bobby. And he had his first double header that day. Well Logan and I stayed at my parents house to wait for him. And you can only imagine my face when I saw Eric walk in with his new camoglauge uniform. I could just die as I sit here and type this. Eric has a strange hatred for camoglauge.

I addressed invitations for my cousin Brians Open house. We helped Aunt Jamie...she helps us with everything, so it was the least we could do.

6month what? I dont think so...

So I just want to make this quick and easy. Last night while getting Logan ready for bed, he threw up on me. Not a problem....However, I was upstairs. And we keep his clothes downstairs. Well I just pulled out a bunch of clothes from his bin that I thought "looked" like they could fit him. So I asked Eric to get me that Shark pajama set that I pulled out. I put it on him. And it was only slightly big on him. So I said wait a minute....let me see how big this is. Would you believe it was a 6month outfit? OMG....this is killing me. Slow down camper. I will post a picture later of this outfit. But I mean seriously, he is so long, that these outfits accidentally work. He is still pretty secure in his 3monthers...but the length on the 6monthers really are close to working for him.

My first Mothers Day....

Logan is....
Loving Eric right now. He follows him everywhere he goes. And by follows I mean watches him.
Splashing mommy during bath time. He realized he could make water go everywhere if he kicked and punched at the water. It shocked him at first, then he kept doing it and smiling.
Losing his hair...but no fears, he is my baby...it will grow back.

We are trying to transition him from swaddling to just sleep sacks.
Will be moving him to his crib this month...if mommy can handle it.
4 months old!


So this past weekend was fun.

Let me see...May 7th. Logans first Arts & Crafts project. Sharen had Logan do a handprint and footprint for Eric and I. She placed them in frames. One side had a saying for Mothers Day. The other side had a saying for Fathers Day. So Eric got his a little early. Oh man was it super cute. And let me just tell you I about melted. How fun. Sharen is awesome. She is so good with him. We couldnt be happier about it.

May 8, 2010..

Happy Birthday Ericka! Today we had Stefanies bridal shower. The theme was breakfast at Tiffany's. It turned out so nice. All of her bridesmaids dressed up formally. It was very pretty. And we had lots of fun. I took Logan with me. I didnt want to leave him with Eric all day long. So I knew he would be passed around at the shower. And yup...nobody lets me hold him. haha Thats okay. He still knows who I am. He did so good though. So I was happy.

May 9, 2010....



My first Mothers Day. I have mixed feelings about the whole Mothers day thing. I dont want Logan to ever feel obligated to do anything for me. And I dont want Eric to go out of his way for me. It is just a made up day. And honestly I feel incredibly blessed to have my baby. So this commercialized date, does not really need to exist in my mind. That being said...I had a great day. I woke up to Logan just being happy giggly. And so we played in bed most of the morning. It is so nice during this time. I am really enjoying being his mom. Eric of course did not get me a card or anything....which is fine. But I thought he might have done that on his own. And of course I mentioned this to him, that I was surprised. And then what does he do...he calls his mom to pick out a mothers day card for me. Hello...lame! Why bother. But whatever...its the thought that counts right? In any case, we got together at Cheddars for lunch. It was Mom, Dad, Phil, Terry, Rosemary, Trinny, Kameron, Michelle, Stef, Ray, Marc, Me, and Eric and of course Sir Logan. We all had great food. And chatted it up. Erics parents got me a card and rose. And that was very sweet of them.

So me and Michelle, Eric and Logan headed to shop. We were able to pick up Logans Baptism outfit. And when we went to the mall, Eric had me pick out a piece of jewelry for mothers day. So I got this heart pendant, that is suppose to be a mom holding a baby. And it has diamonds on it. Its very pretty! And it was super sweet. I kind of wish he would have just picked out something on his own, because that would mean more. But he was worried I wouldnt like what he picked. In any case, he didnt have to do anything at all. So I really appreciate it. And I am glad he made my 1st Mothers Day a special one. Now the ones to follow....they definitely do not have to be so extravagant. Spending time with my boys is all I need.


So this was Logan first trip to the Mall. We went to the Meridian Mall. And I had to change his diaper in the parking lot. Well guess what....I accidentally stuck my finger in his poop!!!!! Oh that was pleasant. And of course he just sits there and smiles. You know I love this kid, when I dont freak out over a fingered covered in poop. Need I say this again..."times have changed".

We went to Grandmas for the rest of the evening. Everyone is so loving towards my Logan. It is very sweet. It has made this new chapter in my life that much more amazing. Oh and I got his 3 months pictures back from Christy Below are a few more.....

Eric and I are so in love with Logan. We just cant believe how amazing he is. And we cant believe how it feels like we have done this forever. It just all feels so natural. I just think about how much fun he is going to be over the summer and I cant wait!

Mega 80's

Lets see.... Michelle & Julies birthday was extended a week this year. Simply because we wanted to go see the Mega 80's on Friday the following week. So we made plans for the night. We would take Logan to my mom and dads. Then we would go out. And then of course stay the night at my parents when we got home. So Eric thought it was super important for him to get dressed up like most of the peeps that go see Mega 80's do. And I want Logan to forever see this picture of his awesome dad.



Pretty much I want Logan to know his mom is way cooler than his dad. hahah We had a really good time. We took the bus (Phil's)to the bar. On the way there we jammed to 80's music to get us in the mood. I had 1 drink. It was so delicious. Martina made this apple type drink...pretty tasty. The guest list is as follows:

Phil chose to park the bus in this back alley. And to get to it we had to climb through a whole in the fence. Couldnt he find a parking lot, like normal people? hahah

Went straight to bed at 3am. OMG...I am not made for this. And I was a total dork. I was showing pictures of Logan on my phone. What a mom. haha Life has changed as we know it.

Had to get up at 5am to feed the little man. Duty calls...Eric was awesome and fed him. And I held him up after his feeding. Then we put him down and passed out. My mom took him for me at 8:30ish. This way we could sleep longer. And I just have to say, that this will be the last time in a very long time that we will go out like this. It is really hard on me. Seriously. I mean if it were not for the fact that it was to celebrate my sisters birthday, we would have stayed home. Maybe when Logan is older we can do this again. Well I know we will. But for now, it is too much. We need sleep. We LOVE sleep.

We cooked out with everyone after getting some pretty good meat from Balingars. Yummy...good stuff. However the day was filled with primping and pictures. It was my cousin Shelbys senior prom. I had to do her hair and makeup. And I say I did a great job.



Do you just love Logans face? hahah Shelby would stick her tongue out at Logan, and he would copy her. I thought it was odd that he would do this. And I thought it was just coincidence. Well then Eric did it to him. And he did it back. Well Eric yawned and he copied him. And I did the tongue thing and he did it back. Its so funny. Well I dug in to my readings of what they should be doing at this stage, and mimiking is definitely this time. So he is right on schedule.

We set up Logans new play mat that we got when we stayed at Marcs. Here is a pic of him laying on it. He loves to kick the ball. Its so funny seeing him do all this stuff and to be aware.

Today was our first day in Church. Our niece Adrianna made her first communion. She looked so pretty.



I ran in to old friends. And everyone was so excited to see Logan. People were telling me how much they prayed for him/us. It was all very sweet. Aunt Jamie carried him for the begining portion of church. In fact Logan decided to throw up on her. So sweet of him huh? haha The second portion of church, we stood in the back with Uncle Rick. He work his plaid golf pants, and his colored blue shirt. He was cute as always. And everyone took pictures of him, but me. Because I didnt have my camera, my brother did. So I will have to post pictures of him later. Besides, nobody let me hold him. haha He was able to be put next to Kellen, Charity and David Garcias baby. And Logan is quite a bit taller than Mr. Kellen. He is actually 9 days older than Kellen. And he was a full term baby. So that shows you how much progress Logan is making. They are both the cutest babies ever.

After mass we went out for a luncheon for Adrianna. We went to the roadhouse in St. Johns. Logan was passed around non stop there as well. I am surprised he even knows who I am. But he does....he spots me from across the room. Its super cute.

After that we took Logan to Jodis. She was going to watch him for us while we went to see Nightmare on Elm Street. Not the greatest movie. And personally I prefer the original. But Eric enjoyed it. Which is odd because he hates pretty much all scary movies. But he thought it was pretty good.

Then we got the little guy and called it a night. Thank God Logan knows how to go with the flow. Poor little guy. We have him all over the planet at a very young age. He has adapted to our little life very well if you ask me.
