Picture Day...

Here he is just waking up after a nap. You can see he cut on his lip if you look close. And of course this was just after his haircut on Thursday June 2nd.



This is a pic of him on Tuesday May 31st when he stayed home sick. He let me play with his hats. It was on baby coma day. He just slept like 90% of the day. But in between he was still his happy self.



Not sure if I posted this before, but I think it is cute. Its Logan with some of his cousins....Adrianna, Julian and Kameron. Just about to go for a walk with Aunt Michelle, or as Logan calls her "Shell"

Momma said knock you out

Okay so we picked up Logan last night and guess who has a puffy bloody lip. Yup thats right Logan. Apparently he tripped and bit his lip at daycare. He looks like his mom beats him up. I mean seriously this kid is a target for injury.

And last night he got his hair cut. And it looks so damn cute! This time Aymee used clippers on the back. It went much better. He still cried but he didnt cry as much.

We finally made our way home. And after his dinner/bath and some short playtime, we looked down on the floor and he put himself to sleep at 8:00. AWESOME!

For Now...

For Now, I will rename our Blog. Our initial title was Life, Heartaches, and finally Logan! Actually that last part said "baby" not "Logan", but you see where I am going with this. We no longer feel this title represents us. And life with our little Punk(affectionate)is one awesome adventure after another. So for now, for this moment....Our new Blog title will be

"The Amazing Adventures of Parents & The Punk".

Poor baby....

So this past weekend we went up north for Memorial weekend. And the weather was nice but it wasnt the greatest weekend ever, but it wasnt the worst either.

Saturday, Logan was demonstrating his balancing skills on his dino bike and he fell head first on to the concrete. Yup he has an awesome scrape on his his. He cried so hard. You know that cry where they dont make a sound? Yup that one. He was over it in less than 5 minutes and ready to do it again. I quickly moved him to the grass. That kid does not care. haha

Then Sunday we went fishing with all of the kids. When we got back, I touched Logan and he had a little fever. I checked, it was 102.7. This seemed to have fluctuated from that to about 99.1 throughout the weekend. And it did not stop until yesterday(wednesday_ afternoon). He has been tossing and turning and crying in his sleep. Just groggy and uncomfortable. The PA at his doc office said it is probably a virus. Isnt that what they say when they dont know what in the hell is wrong with your kid? Well It probably was, but there is nothing you can do but wait it out. So we did. And as of yesterday late he was feeling better. I stayed home with him all week. He thought Eric was there and he yelled over the baby gate "Eric, what doing". I about pissed myself. That is what I yell up to Eric just about any time I yell upstairs. haha It sounded so cute though.

Fingers crossed that he is recovered! My poor baby.....

Tarzan

Every day is an adventure with this boy. Yesterday Eric and I were in the kitchen. We look over at Logan. He turned the laundry basket upside down and got up on top of it and started waving his arms around. HE thought he was Tarzan. Eric jumps over the gate to the living room to get Logan off of the basket. And I ask....Who teaches him these things?

He now has 4 bottom teeth. The 2 side ones on the bottom popped through the skin this past weekend at some point. lol

Recently our nephew Emilio came home from boot camp. He is an official Marine. So we met up with him a couple times for celebration before he went back to California for more training. It was sweet how many total strangers would approach him and thank him for his service. That was different.

We recently picked up some Blue sand for Logans soon to be sandbox. He loves sand and well anything that gets him dirty. So we got some blue sand to make it fun. I am just picky and have not found the one thing I want to put it in.....soon.

Things have not really settled in the Eric department. As he has been applying for jobs all over. It is appearing that we will be moving someplace else. So keep your fingers crossed that something local comes up or we are out of here. His last day at MSP is June 3rd. They actually threw him and Joelle(other intern)a graduation party. So that was really nice.

We spent last weekend tilling the future garden. We planted some fruit plants. And we burned as it was so HOT out while doing yard work. Marcus came over and helped Eric and I. And Alex came over and sat in the living room with Logan. Too hot to take him outside.

Oh and Eric learned quickly not to swear in front of Logan as he now repeats everything bad we say. UGH...too soon. And we were able to find Logan some Nike sandals that actually fit his chubby little feet. Finally. And then we have had nothing but rain and cold days ever since. haha But when he needs them, he will have them.

This past week has been very rainy and yucky out. We are due for some nice weather. Well that is all for now. Catch up later.

Graduation/Mothers Day

Saturday Eric Graduated from MSU. It feels like its been forever. And finally the day has come. Everyone was so proud of him. He is super smart. I didnt doubt for a second he would make it. Its just so WOW...he made it. haha

The people that came were our parents, my sister, his brother and Sarah, Aunt Sokie, Shelby, Phil, Uncle Danny, and Aunt Frances.

We went out to dinner after at Champps to celebrate. I could tell Eric was so releived it was finally over. And Bob and Kim and Aiden Kersten met us there as well. It was a beautiful day too.

Logan wore his matching cap and Gown. And during the ceremony he really was well behaved when he wasnt pulling braids our of a head of someone in front of us, grabbing an old ladies cane, kicking someone in the head, and grabbing a hand full of hair. But I swear he was good. haha He waved and clapped and danced to the fight song. It was a good day.

Mothers Day,

Since we spent Saturday with out family, we decided to do nothing together the next day. We woke up a little later than normal. We took our sweet time getting around. We headed to St. Johns and Eric and Logan and I picked all the veggies and flowers for our Garden. We made our way over to Walmart and then headed back to Ovid.

I stopped in to see my Grandmother...The original Momma. And then went home and Eric and Logan took a nap. We picked up Michelle and took her to grab some lunch. Eric and I ate dessert. Is this a weekly thing now? haha

And later that night an impromptu cookout with my bro his fam and some more fam. So that was a nice surprise as we were starting to get hungry.

But it was so nice not to plan something. haha I know I love to plan. But just once I wanted to do nothing. FYI...I am over it.

On to the next event....

Quiet Dinner

Lately Eric and I have been pretty excited about this new thing Logan has done. SLEEP while we eat dinner. Oh man it has been 16 months that we have not been able to have dinner without worrying about little Logan. The last few nights, he has taken late naps that tapper off while we are just finishing dinner. Its been pretty nice. Dont get me wrong, love love love taking care of Logan. But a dinner without him grabbing our plate or grabbing our glasses is so so so nice.
