Lets Hope

The next few weeks should be pretty uneventful...Lets hope. My next apt is not scheduled until September 10. At that apt I will be 16 weeks pregnant. The plan is to listen to the baby's heartbeat on the doppler thing-a-ma-jig. If for some reason they can not get the heartbeat on there, then we are going to do an ultrasound. But at that point she doesn't foresee any problems.

Then I will have an extensive ultrasound on the 29th with Dr. Kelley (my regular OB). and then the following Tuesday I will see Dr. Roth (high risk OB) for another extensive ultrasound. So be forewarned....we are going to have some serious photos to share. Or so that is the hope. He/She should be super big at 19/20 weeks.

Although this entire pregnancy I have been leaning towards boy. Let me make it perfectly clear that I just want a healthy happy baby. Sounds cliche, but it is so true. But lately I have been having super crazy weird dreams. And in every dream I have a baby. And every baby in those dreams is a girl. What gives? Is my body/baby trying to tell me something? hahah I suppose it is super common for those in my family to have a girl first. But genetically speaking I don't know if there is any link there. Oh and we hope to be able to see on the 29th what exactly we are having. And then I wont have to rely on superstitions, intuition, or dreams.

Every day it seems I feel a new twinge or new pull. I never know what to expect. Some days I feel my bladder/baby is going to fall out when I go pee (T.M.I, I know) and other days I feel like I have a water balloon sitting in my stomach. And then there are days when I feel absolutely nothing. Those are the strangest days. I wanted to slap Eric the other day. He was touching my stomach as we were in bed. And he says something along the lines of..."oooh your stomach feels hard where it didn't use to be." I would have slapped him if he wasn't so cute. haha I just cant wait until we can feel it move.

Have a great weekend if we dont see/talk to you.
